Synchronize data after non-disruptive migration (NDM) cutover

Unisphere supports a migration application to provide a method for migrating data from a source array to a target array.

Prerequisites

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

The state of the migration session is CutoverSync, CutoverSyncing, or CutoverNoSync.

About this task

After cutover, the sync operation allows the synchronization of the data between the arrays.

To start or stop the synchronization of a migration session:

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Data Protection > Migrations.
  3. Select the Sessions tab.
  4. Select the storage group, click An icon showing three dots arranged in a vertical row, signifying a menu with more options, and click Sync.
    For a migration where the source is SAN WWNs, the source field displays the serial number of the source array.
  5. Click Stop to stop a synchronization or Start to start a synchronization.
  6. Review the summary and do one of the following:
    • Click Run Now to perform the operation now.
    • Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
